Email Authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)

Your email either authenticates or it stops arriving

Google and Yahoo began enforcing sender rules in 2024. Microsoft started rejecting outright in 2025. Most small businesses still are not compliant and find out when their invoices stop landing.

Our fee
$997flat, up to five sending tools
Platform cost
None. This is DNS configuration.
Typical timeline
6 to 10 weeks, most of it monitoring before we tighten anything.

Why this is harder than it looks

The failure mode is quiet. Nothing bounces dramatically. Your mail just starts landing in spam, or vanishing. And the fix has a trap: turn on enforcement before you have found every tool that sends as your domain, and you black-hole your own invoices.

What we do

  • Full discovery of every service sending mail as your domain
  • SPF rebuilt to stay under the lookup limit that silently breaks records
  • DKIM enabled on every sending platform
  • DMARC published at monitoring first, then tightened in stages once reports are clean
  • Report monitoring throughout, so nothing gets cut off
  • Parked and lookalike domains locked down so nobody can spoof them
  • A written record of every change, so you are never locked in to us

What we need from you

We ask for these up front so nothing stalls halfway through. Items marked required have to be in hand before we can start.

Every domain you ownRequired
Including parked ones and defensive misspellings, because those are what spoofers use.
Who hosts your DNSRequired
We verify this ourselves, since owners are often wrong about where DNS actually lives.
Your sending toolsRequired
We give you a checklist rather than a blank box, because everyone forgets two or three.
Admin access to your mail platformRequired
Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. We need it to generate DKIM keys.

The steps only you can take

A few things genuinely cannot be delegated, because the platform requires the business owner personally. We schedule these, prepare you for them, and stay on the call.

  • Click the delegated access invites. Some registrars expire them within 48 hours.
  • Create our admin user in Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
  • Approve each enforcement step in writing before we tighten the policy.

What we will not promise

  • We will not rush to enforcement. The monitoring window is what prevents your own mail from being blocked.
  • If one of your vendors refuses to support DKIM, we will tell you. Some tools simply cannot be made compliant.
  • Google Workspace requires a step that has no API, so one part of this is always done by hand.

Common questions

What happens if I do nothing about DMARC?

Increasingly, your mail stops arriving. Google and Yahoo began enforcing sender requirements in February 2024 and Microsoft started rejecting non-compliant bulk mail in 2025. For low-volume senders the effect is gradual, showing up as more mail in spam folders, which is exactly why most businesses do not notice until a customer says they never got the invoice.

Can setting up DMARC break my email?

Yes, if it is rushed. Turning on enforcement before every legitimate sending tool is authenticated will cause your own mail to be rejected. That is precisely why the monitoring period exists and why we will not skip it, even if you ask.

How long does this take?

Six to ten weeks for most businesses, and the majority of that is watching reports rather than doing configuration. Anyone offering it same-day is publishing records without checking what they break.
